Enjoy rich and moist homemade fudgy brownies with an intense chocolate flavor. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for making at home and sharing a tender, flavorful dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)

  • 150 g butter

  • 200 g sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 120 g all-purpose flour

  • 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 150 g walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a square or rectangular brownie pan.

  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate and butter together. You can do this in the microwave in short bursts or over a pot of hot water (double boiler). Stir until fully melted and combined.

  3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate and mix well.

  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir.

  5. In another bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and mix until just combined.

  6. If using, fold in the walnuts or chocolate chips.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet). Avoid overbaking to keep the fudgy texture.

  9. Let cool in the pan before cutting into portions.
